The Restoration of a Chair

This early 1800s British nursing chair came to us from a roadside trash heap. The customer identified the potential and left it in our hands for a complete restoration. We researched the origins of this type of chair and re-created each part in the original design. Repairing broken framework and building back the upholstery to its former glory. Each restoration is different but these pictures outline some of the steps. Along the way, we employ the skills of master wood workers and craftspeople to ensure the highest quality. We love to bring these pieces back to life and want these legacy/heirlooms to last a couple hundred more years.
